    POLICY

    FIRE DRILLS

Each principal is responsible for developing a fire-safety plan. This plan should make provisions for blocked and unblocked exit drills, for special handling of students with physical handicaps, and for removal of students from the building to a distance at least greater than the height of the school building walls. A copy of this plan should be submitted to the Superintendent of Schools.

The School Laws of Pennsylvania mandate that a minimum of one fire drill be held each month. A fire drill report is to be submitted to the Superintendent’s office following the completion of each drill.
