Student Performance Outcomes (SPO) provide a K-12 outline of the district goals for student learning. SPOs indicate what students should know and be able to demonstrate as they progress through the instructional program. Our district SPOs are aligned to the Pennsylvania Core Standards established by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). Therefore, classroom instruction will reflect these grade level goals.
We have outlined student performance for core subject areas in English/language arts, math, science, and social studies for grades K-12. Because this is a working document, we will continue to add performance outcomes for elective courses at the high school level and refine all outcomes, K-12, based upon district assessment data. We encourage parents to discuss with district staff how these outcomes impact student learning experiences in the classroom. Additionally, we ask for parent and community feedback on how we can support the school-home connection to ensure that all students in the Susquehanna Township School District are reaching proficiency.
