Attention girls in grades 9-12: Penn College is hosting a Construction Day event for girls interested in pursuing a career in construction.  The event will be on March 20; you must apply to attend this event and only 50 girls will be chosen from the pool of applicants.  For more information and to apply, go to


Harrisburg Academy is hosting their annual college fair on April 24th from 6:00-7:30 PM.  Registration is required, go to the STHS Counseling Center website for more information.


Hershey’s Chocolate World has over 150 available jobs posted on their website, please go to for more information and to apply.


The School of the Arts showcase is Friday March 17th. Doors open to the lobby at 6pm for the Fine Arts gallery and Fashion display. At 7pm the School of Performing Arts presents the comically chaotic musical, "The Pirates of Penzance." Enjoy a fun, FREE evening and support the arts!


Congressman Scott Perry is holding two US Service Academy Information Nights in Central PA for students interested in attending one of the US Service Academies.  This is a great time to learn about the unique application process for the Academies.  The dates are April 11 at Central York High School and April 12 at Cedar Cliff High School, both sessions are 6:00-8:00 PM.  Check the Guidance website for more information.


School of the Arts: Applications for the 2017-18 STHS School of the Arts are now being accepted in the HS office. Students who are interested in the areas of fashion design, performing arts and visual arts are encouraged to apply. Application materials are available on the STSD Counseling Center website and must be completed and submitted to the HS office before the April 18, 2017 deadline. Student interviews and portfolio reviews (for visual arts students) will be scheduled starting the end of April.


STSD World Class Commitment to Literacy:  Art Competition STSD needs your help communicating our commitment to literacy in an exciting art competition. Using the STSD "World Class Commitment to Literacy" statement, develop a visual interpretation that captures our commitment, representing students, staff, parents and community members. All entries will be displayed during Spring Hill Suites' Art Night on April 20, 2017. One winner will be selected by guests/staff at Spring Hill Suites, which will then appear on the district website; on literacy resources that will be shared in community restaurants, businesses; at literacy nights around the district; and in the district office.  For more details and entry forms, see Mrs. Kreider, Mr. Smith or Ms. Sweigart in their respective rooms. All entries are due no later than March 31, 2017. Good Luck!

AAP-The after-school tutoring program (AAP) will meet Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.  A late bus will come at 4:30 p.m. and again at 5:15 p.m.


Per District Policy- students who park in the school parking lot must purchase current parking passes. Please see Mrs. Jones during any lunch. Cost is $25.00
