The Susquehanna Township Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for summer 2017 positions.  Applicants must have reached their 16th birthday by Monday, June 19, 2017.  Applications may be picked up in the High School Guidance Office or at the Recreation Office at 1900 Linglestown Rd. Full job descriptions are available at both locations, and also at the township website at  Application deadline: March 15th, 2017 (interviewing will take place during the week of March 27th).


Attention girls in grades 9-12: Penn College is hosting a Construction Day event for girls interested in pursuing a career in construction.  The event will be on March 20; you must apply to attend this event and only 50 girls will be chosen from the pool of applicants.  For more information and to apply, go to


Harrisburg Academy is hosting their annual college fair on April 24th from 6:00-7:30 PM.  Registration is required, go to the STHS Counseling Center website for more information.


The lobby box office for the STHS Musical "RAGTIME" is now open Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or by phone to 717-712-3599. Tickets are $10. Cash and checks, made payable to STHS Musical, are accepted.


"RAGTIME" will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Mar. 2 - 4, and at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 5, in the high school auditorium. Based on the 1975 novel by E.L. Doctorow, "RAGTIME" tells a story about African-Americans, upper class suburbanites and Eastern European immigrants in the United States in the early 20th century. Many historical figures, including Harry Houdini and Emma Goldman, are portrayed.  The "RAGTIME" production book was written by Terrence McNally with lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and music by Stephen Flaherty. It won Tony awards for Best Book and Best Score and Drama Desk awards from Best Musical and Best Book.

Brett Bernardini, executive director of Theatre Harrisburg, is directing Susquehanna's production. Eric Dundore, retired from Mechanicsburg Area High School, is musical director.



AAP-The after-school tutoring program (AAP) will meet Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.  A late bus will come at 4:30 p.m. and again at 5:15 p.m.


Per District Policy- students who park in the school parking lot must purchase current parking passes. Please see Mrs. Jones during any lunch. Cost is $25.00
